| Aloha, this is RabidLeroy writing, and so far, this community doesn't have any new members. Now, to put things simply, this is why I have joined this community... - I have been a fan of Lilo & Stitch since my first year of high school in 2004 (Australia's year 7 would've been equivalent to round about 6th or 7th grade in the US), and despite other fandoms, I have stayed a fan for five years. Count that, five years.
- I have been exposed to various topics during my time as a Stitchfan - I have become curious of the alien experiments - their thoughts and feelings, even what they and us humans have in common (we have feelings, we could feel pain - that's in my opinion).
- I have also been exposed to the Save Lilo & Stitch website at the end of 2005, and I have followed it since.
- I have also been introduced to Fanfiction.net, as well as DeviantArt - exposure to these sites has not only stretched my interest, it had taught me to share aspects of my fandom with other users - some have come and gone, but it's all that matters.
That's all about my history as a fan. You see, there are some fans in this category who support Lilo very well, while some support Stitch for all the right reasons... guess what, not only am I a Stitchfan, I am also one for the other alien experiments - all six-hundred and twenty five of them! While the Mouse may have expanded a little too far to the young-viewers' demographic, all I can say is that there's nothing wrong with them - they're kinda cute in some ways, yet kind of fascinating to think about. But that's another story. To any other reader looking for a fan community who has a strong heart for Lilo & Stitch - no matter if it's the original movie when it came out in theaters, or perhaps the odd series episode every now and then, this is your chance to put yoiur name on the request list if you want to join! And to all you new arrivals entering this community, I bid you all a great stay! First member of this community, RabidLeroy - Mood:cheerful

| Just a newbie who decided to step in and say hi to those around here. You see, I have been a self confessed 'secret-Stitchfan' (one who enjoys the fandom so much that it's best to keep it a swecret when growing up!) since the start of junior high school (where I live, it's equivalent to the start of secondary college, you might wanna look it up). You see, my current interests would be in terms of alien experiments (including Stitch himself!) and I haven't personally been to the theme parks, but done the things that defined that Stitchfan - worked on fanfictions and fanart - I have made more fanart that fiction in my case!!! You can spot me on my livejournal page, but externally at my home page - http://rabidleroy.deviantart.com Hope this welcome was as warm as I could make it! | |

| Here it comes... the What Stitchfans Don't Want survey is finally released!!! It's one year since I announced it, and now it's ready for the taking! Here's the description from my DevArt site: FINALLY! IT'S HERE! After one year of noticing on my blog mentioned in my signature (still no idea how to create a fanfilm to aid in the campaign), the What Stitchfans Don't Want survey is finally released! You see, I have decided to create this survey in the interests of Stitchfans currently watching me... having a busy lifestyle (as well as a low motivation) pretty much hindered the immediate completion last year, but now we are ready. You can use a computer drawings program to complete the survey (whether you'd use Paint, Wacom tablet or the Text and computer mouse function)... perhaps you could print it out, grab a pencil and scrawl in the bits of information and perhaps scan it in. This survey is designed to be competed by anyone interested, so if you're reading this and you are signed in more than one site (YouTube, BeBo, MySpace or anywhere else) as well as DeviantArt, you are free to circulate this survey to anyone - whether it's private messaging or even e-mail. (Don't overdo it though - no-one love spammers! So please, consider sending to one or two friends at a time and let them do the rest.) So, Stitchfans ready to complete the survey, get ready... the survey's deadline would be somewhere between the 21st and the 27th of June this year, so you guys better act fast! By then, I'll compile the statistics and show it up on my DevJournal and LiveJournal entries. In the name of our alien experiment friends, let us be heard!
And here's the link to the survey!!! http://www.deviantart.com/download/122780649/WhatStitchfansDon__tWant_surv__by_RabidLeroy.png
Remember to comment on this blog post saying that you did the survey - include the survey you completed, but I will use it to compile the results and nothing else.
Good luck readers and let our voices be heard!!!

| ...with a reference of WALL-E on it! Yes really! I have found this nifty advertisement for the Zippo lighter (which some of us know as one of the icons synonymous with WALL-E, other than plants and cubes.) What really did catch my eye is a reference to the film via the huge trash cube (with the ordinary lighters compressed, believe it or not) and the handy little tagline: "Disposable... just another word for garbage". (In a nutshell, this means that compared to ordinary lighters, the Zippo lighter is the kind that's durable, refillable and would not need to be replaced.) This is the first time I have found a WALL-E reference in one of those print ads, and I'm sure you guys will agree. PS: While I myself don't approve of using that lighter for smoking, I'm sure therer are other ways of using a Zippo lighter... in the case of lighting a small campfire with no matches lying around. Nonetheless, it's amazing that WALL-E keeps loads of them in his collection. :) (The joys of Zippo lighters as an icon...) | |

| Wow it's been a long time coming until the new year celebrations. 2008 has come and gone at this rate, and we are only hours (or minutes) away from the new year. 2008 has been a great source of memories for people young and old, and I'm sure some of us among the group agree very well. It's sad to see the year pass away near into the night, but all I know is that the new year, 2009 will hopefully fill the void... a source where new events might even become the next memories themselves. Right now, a deviantArt submission using the element of wordplay (New Years 'Eve', yawn) and the elements of being as multilingual as possible (those translations basically mean 'good luck', 'best wishes' or 'congratulations') For now, have a happy (and safe) new year, and best wishes to everyone who made this community possible. To set the scene, a few lyrics verses to help describe the passing of the old year (I bet some of you remember the song that came with them: http://www.pakhmutova.ru/mp3/do_svida.mp3 Расстаются друзья. Остаётся в сердце нежность… Будем песню беречь. До свиданья, до новых встреч. (Russian lyrics) It's time now to part, but our memories will remain, and this song in our hearts, till we meet again. (equivalent English Lyrics) And alas, 2008 bids farewell! | |

| Okay... I just haven't got anything to report at the moment, but to all Wall-E fans around the world wishing to read my blog, I've managed to post up a pic... Great Christmas wishes to everyone everywhere, and here's hoping for a safe and happy new year. :) So what now? Things will get busier next year, but I hope things will be okay. Honest. :) | |

| People are beginning to see the success of WALL-E, and believe it or not, Kimberly-Clark has decided to cash in by featuring our fave robot on their tissue packs. Whoops! This video, made by Greenpeace US with political cartoonist Mark Fiore, shows that in a world heavily affected by human activity, we might have to be careful of whether we have to blow our nose with our sleeves or, well, a log from Canada's forests... *sigh*
Even though I'm not really affiliated with Greenpeace, I would like you guys to spread the message when writing a blog entry on such a subject... the HTML code is provided by the Greenpeace site, and it's below here. Happy posting, and here's to using EVE's arm gun to take down K-C.

| ACHOO! Sorry for not posting for a while. But I got stuck into the *ACHOO!* hype toward's Disney/Pixar's latest movie... WALL-E. It's a very... *achoo!* dramatically sweet film, and given the fact that the film has concealed a pro-environmental message (no, not global warming, guys) Well, you think robots were nothing more than dull machines doing dull jobs... well, Pixar has managed to utilise emotions and apply them to the main characters, which are probably robots. To put it in brief, let me recite some of the robots present in the film *achoo!*: - WALL-E (his name stands for Waste Allocation Load Lifter - Earth Class) was said to be the only robot on earth after all the human beings have fled Earth for one fact - too muck junk. As a result, robots like him were given the job to compact junk into stacks the size of skyscrapers. In the case of the main WALL-E, 'he' sometimes collects interesting stuff from the wreckage, such as a Rubik's cube and a spork, amongst other things. (Why he has even connected the video player to an iPod, and used a magnifying glass to watch movies - in this case, Hello, Dolly!)
- EVE (her name stands for Extraterrestrial Vegetation Evaluator) was sent to Earth in order to check for plant life, in order to determine whether it is safe for the remaining human colony to go back home or not. In the first part of the movie, Wall-E tries to win her heart, but EVE refuses. Later on in the film, during the scene where WALL-E attempts to find EVE (on board the main starship AXIOM), you can safely assume that WALL-E has took great risks to find her. And you can safely assume that they became close partners.
- M-O (his name might mean Microbe Obliberator) can be easily classified as a neat freak. He is first seen on board the AXIOM with the other cleaner bots, and the moment WALL-E begins searching the AXIOM for his newfound partner EVE, M-O is fixated on cleaning up the dirt tracks. At first, M-O dislikes WALL-E and wants nothing more than to clean him up, but closer to the end of the movie, you might say that M-O almost saved both WALL-E and EVE in one of the scenes.
To be honest, the movie is so emotionally charging and inspiring that it almost shook me from head to toe. And I hope most of you were moved by the movie as much as I have been. :) *AAACHOO* sorry. - Mood:Wall*E Fever Diagnosed

| So far you may have seen three little additions to my Dev.Art gallery relating to the Beijing Olympics (though it's a little bit late to celebrate, it helped knock out my art-block for now.) For those who have no idea what I'm talking about, here they are: Now to comment on how things were during this time... the Beijing Olympics, despite all the controversy pulling through each other's nerves, is best described in one compound word - AWE-INSPIRIING! Right now, as I am reporting from Australia, I am proud to announce that so far, Australia has won 14 gold medals throughout the games. (Oh and did anyone know of Michael Phelps's world record of winning the most gold medals at an Olympics event? That is what I call determination.) So, this marks the final day of Beijing 2008, and to all of our Aussie athletes, I would like to give you thanks and well done for trying your best at the Olympic games, and along with the rest of the Aussie supporters, we really wish you all the best in four years' time (London 2012 - can't wait!!!) On another topic, I like to collect internet photos of merchandise relating to L&S and/or Ben 10, which I find very interesting. I am not using the photos for commercial purposes but just to look at and wonder what's it like to find such an item in my area (which is very interesting too as we don't find a lot of Stitch stuff in my area, believe it or not.) You see, when it comes to Stitch stuff, where else can you surprise yourself than Japan? (Yes really.) You can find out more at Tikistitch's blog right here: http://tikistitch.livejournal.com (just chuck the link in your browser for heck's sake)! - Mood:high

| The "What Stitchfans Don't Want" Survey
Okay, so I've investigated the "Save L&S" website and I've come up with a brilliant idea... surely some of us like Stitch, especially the alien experiments, but there are times when we need to critique the company and either help them improve or tell them they're doing a good job...anyway... but sometimes the Walt Disney Company usually keeps its doors shut to all our fans (even though they keep some of us happy.) Now this gives me an idea... an idea that can help the company give us our rights to help with some aspects (well, not to take over the company, but I think this might mean democracy to us Stitchfans...) The name of the survey is called: "What Stitchfans Don't Want". The title may be offputting, but I highly don't care... it's an idea I have thought of recently since I viewed this silly commercial [link] and then that's when the title popped up... Surely enough, you are welcome to add in those opinions (flaming does not count as an opinion, so be polite in your opinions). When you send in your opinions to this journal entry, you are helping me decide what to put in this survey. So, if you really want to help me with setting up this survey, send in your opinions, and I'll do the rest. Once the survey's completed and submitted to the site, you can download it, perhaps use your Paint/Photoshop program to fill in the bubbles, or maybe you can print it out and scan it in again. (Printing it out has a great advantage... you can send them to some of your other Stitchfans and scan them in. No, I won't ask for your names, but I might use those results in order to build up the statistics.) The more Stitchfans (or other people) that complete the survey, the better. (How you send in the statistics, easy. If you've got a DeviantArt account, submit the survey in your scraps section of your Deviant Gallery, send me a note with the link, and I'll save it so I can work on the statistics later. Don't worry, I won't re-publish them anywhere else on this site. Enough said.) Sorry if this is an overly long journal, but I just felt like bragging it out. Anyways, hope it's worth the wait! RabidLeroy PS: I might feel like working on a fanfilm to do with the 'campaign', but it's just to get you guys aware of the new survey coming soon to this space. | |
